The Dalhousie Lake Association held its Annual General Meeting and information session on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at MERA in McDonalds Corners.  For a copy of the agenda and other materials tabled at the meeting, please click here.

The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) regularly updates conditions and advisories affecting the Mississippi Valley watershed including Dalhousie Lake.  On August 1, 2025 we were advised by the MVCA that Dalhousie Lake is currently some 30 cms below historical average levels for this time of year due to a sustained period of unseasonably hot and dry weather conditions.  Water levels throughout the watershed are also well below normal and are continuing throughout August and possibly into September.  Therefore, unless there is significant rainfall in the coming days, it is reasonable to expect that Lake levels will continue to be exceptionally low.  Boaters on Dalhousie Lake should use additional caution in shallow areas of the Lake as safe navigation in these areas may be an issue.    You may view advisories and updates from the MVCA at :

Our Purpose, Objectives and Strategy

The Dalhousie Lake Association is led by a volunteer group of residents that act as Directors on behalf of Association members.  All property owners on the lake are eligible and encouraged to join the Association. The Association is committed to supporting property owners and users of the lake to:
•    Contribute to lake safety through the promotion of safe practices on the lake.
•    In collaboration with the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority, as stewards of the lake, test, monitor and report on water quality, water levels, environmental conditions and related matters of concern.
•    Support the community of Dalhousie Lake owners through information sessions, social activities, liaison with other lake associations and agencies to share best practices and emerging issues.  As well, the Association supports owners through the timely sharing of updates on lake affairs and other urgent matters of common interest.
•    Represent Dalhousie Lake owners to take forward collective issues and coordinate interactions with responsible agencies and peer groups such as the Lake Networking Group of other lake associations in the region, Watersheds Canada, etc..
